Yogi Adityanath keeps BJP’s poll promise, Rs 1 lakh loan waiver for farmers
PM Modi had promised that the BJP government, if voted to power, would waive the loan of all small and marginalized farmers of the state in the very first meeting of the Cabinet.
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in his first cabinet meeting announced around 86 lakh small and marginalised farmers will benefit from the Rs 1 lakh loan waiver.
Yogi Adityanath led UP-government will spend around Rs 36,000 crore to fund the farm loan waiver.

According to the proposal approved by Yogi Cabinets, farmers who have to pay loans up to Rs 1 lakh will be free of the burden now.
The Yogi Cabinet has also approved the proposal to buy 100% wheat crop of farmers across the state.
