Women's U-19 T20 World Cup: India defeats South Africa by 9 wickets to lift the title

Kuala Lumpur: Indian women's team on Sunday thrashed South Africa by nine wickets to lift the U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup for the second time at the at the Bayuemas Oval here. 

India chased down the target 0f 83 runs with 52 balls to spare.

For India, Gongadi Trisha scored 44* off 33 balls while Sanika Chalke played 26* runs knock. 

Player of the Match
Trisha bagged the Player of the Match award for her all round performance as she got three wickets after conceding 15 runs, helping the defending champion to bundle out South Africa for 82 runs. 

Besides, Vaishnavi Sharma, Aayushi Shukla and Parunika Sisodia also got two wickets each.
