Women's T20 WC: India takes on arch rivals Pakistan, head-to-head & more

Dubai: After losing their opening match in the ongoing T20 World Cup, Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian team will take on arch rivals Pakistan at Dubai International Stadium in their second Group A match on Sunday. 

Indian need to win each match to make it to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. 


India lost to NZ by 58 runs

While India suffered a crushing 58-run defeat against New Zealand, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 31 runs in their opening clash of the tournament.

India need to improve their batting performance after playing a bad game against Kiwis. In the first match, India changed the batting slots  of skipper Harmanpreet to No. 3, Jemimah Rodrigues to No, 4 and Richa Ghosh to No.5, which is not the usual slots for these batters.

Now, India will be looking to get the batting combination right.

Head-to-head 

India have a better record against Pakistan in T20Is, registering 12 wins out of 15 matches so far.

Pakistan have some experienced bowlers such as Nida Dhar, captain Fatima Sana and Sadia Iqbal who are expected to put some tough challange to Indian batters.

The match will start at 3:30 pm IST.
