Ahmedabad: Indian women's team defeated New Zealand by six wickets in third ODI to win the series by 2-1.
India chased the target of 233 runs in 44.2 balls.

Earlier in the day, New Zealand skipper Sophie Divine won the toss and decided to bat first. The visitors were bowled out for 232 runs. Brooke Halliday scored the highest 86 runs for the team. For India, spinner Deepti Sharma took the 3 wickets.
In response, the Indian women's team had a bad start and the team lost the wicket of Shefali Verma (12) at the score of 16 runs. After this, Yastika Bhatia and Smriti Mandhana shared a crucial 76-run partnership for the second wicket and strengthened the team. However, Yastika Bhatia was dismissed after scoring 35 runs. Later, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who came to bat at number 4, along with Smriti Mandhana added 117 runs for the third wicket and put the match in India's pocket.
