Bengaluru: The body of a 32-year-old woman was found stuffed inside a trolley bag in a house here in Bengaluru. The deceased has been identified as Gauri Anil Sambrekar alias Gauri Khedekar of Maharashtra.
The Bengaluru Police has arrested her husband Rakesh Rajendera Khedekar from Mumbai for allegedly killing her. Khedekar had left Bengaluru after the crime, the Police said.
The husband Khedeker left the city on 25 March and made the call about his wife’s body two days later, added the Police.

The Bengaluru Police said, 'The husband Rakesh Rajendra Khedekar called the Maharashtra Police and the house owner, informing them about the body of his wife in the flat on Thursday.

Gauri was a mass media graduate and lived with her husband Rakesh in a duplex house in Doddakammanahalli near Hulimavu.

The couple had married for two years, hailed from Maharashtra and had come to the city in February 2025.
Rakesh is a project manager in a private firm, while Gauri was in search of a job, said the Police.
The police first thought it was a case of suicide, but when they reached the spot, they found Sambrekar’s body in a trolley bag.
“The woman’s body was found in the washroom,” Sarah Fathima, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast), said.
