Woman, granddaughter found murdered in UP's Budaun

New Delhi: A woman and her granddaughter were found murdered at their residence in Uttar Pradesh's Budaun district on Saturday morning, police said.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, the double murder was reported in Alapur police station area of Hayatnagar village.

On Saturday morning, the blood-soaked bodies of the woman and her granddaughter were found on a cot inside their residence.

After getting information about the murder, police reached the spot and started their investigation.
The deceased have been identified as Geeta Devi and her granddaughter Kalpana, residents of Hayatnagar village.
Police on double murder
Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Brijesh Kumar Singh said the police are investigating the case and that a complainant was filled by Ramnath against two individuals accusing him of the murder.

Old enmity
The police has collected evidence from the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem. The deceased family had an old enmity with the accused which said to be the reason for the murders.
Atmosphere of fear
No arrests have been made yet. The double murder has created an atmosphere of fear in the village.
