Why Director, Personnel posts are vacant in SAIL and NMDC since record time?

It is preposterous to note as to why a Maharatna and a Navratna Government Companies, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) do not have a full time Director Personnel, when the prices of Iron ore and Steel are at an all-time high. New Delhi/Hyderabad: The investigative team of Dynamite News has found that Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) do not have a full time Director Personnel since long back.

As per record available with Dynamite News, Director Personnel’s post has been vacant in the SAIL for 15 months after the sad demise of Atul Srivastava. Same post vacant in the NMDC, a prominent PSU since 13 months.

Is it a ploy by the government to undermine the interests of the large workforce in these core sectors of the economy, especially when the government is targeting a 5 trillion economy. 

Captive and merchant mines have been suffering on account of non-compliance by the Government a stage when mining should give a fillip to the post COVID-19 large workforce of this country.

Hope this should work as a wake up call to the sleeping bureaucracy on core issues of fill up the important posts of the Ministry of Steel companies of SAIL and NMDC.
