"What are 80,000 cops doing?" High Court raps Punjab Police over Amritpal Singh

Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday slammed the Punjab government over its failure to arrest Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh as the search operation enters day four.

The court's remarks come amid the Punjab Police action against Khalistan leader Amritpal Singh and members of his outfit 'Waris Punjab De'.

The court asked the police to submit a status report of their operation against Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh. 

"You have 80,000 cops, how did Amritpal Singh escape?," the High Court asked Punjab government. The court remarked that this is an intelligence failure of the state's police. (with Agency inputs)
