Kolkata: At least three people were killed and over 138 arrested, including police personnel injured in violent protests that erupted over the Waqf (Amendment) Act in West Bengal's Murshidabad, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
As clashes spilled into Saturday, the Calcutta High Court ordered immediate deployment of Central forces to bring the situation under control.

Among the victims were Haragobindo Das (65) and his son Chandan Das (40), reportedly dragged from their home and killed in Samserganj.
Violence escalated across Suti, Samserganj, and Dhuliyan as mobs torched vehicles, stormed homes, and fought pitched battles with police.
