West Bengal: TMC leader shot dead, two others wounded in Malda

Malda: A Trinamool Congress leader was shot dead and two others also sustained serious injuries in a shoot-out in West Bengal's Malda on Tuesday. 

According to Dynamite News correspondent,  the incident occurred in Kaliaganj area when the TMC leader and the party worker were present at a programme, organised for the inauguration of a road,

Identity of deceased
The deceased was identified as Hasan Sheikh, a local TMC leader. Two others, including Bakul Sheikh, the regional TMC president, were also injured in the shoot-out. 

Case launched
The Malda Police have have launched a case started the investigation in the matter. They are also examining whether the incident is linked to infighting within the party.
