West Bengal: Arrested Minister Partha Chatterjee sacked from Cabinet over SSC recruitment scam

Kolkata: The Mamata Banerjee government of West Bengal has relieved Partha Chatterjee from all posts including Cabinet Minister. This was announced by the Mamta government after the cabinet meeting. 

Partha Chatterjee, accused in SSC scam case, is currently under the custody of ED. Over Rs.55 crore in cash has been so far recovered from different locations of Arpita Mukherjee, a close aide of Partha Chatterjee.

According to the order issued by the Chief Secretary of Bengal, Partha Chatterjee has been removed from the post of Industries Minister as well as from other posts. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will also look after the Industries Ministry for the time being.

Partha has also been relieved from the Department of Information and Broadcasting, and Department of Parliamentary Affairs.
