New Delhi: New Delhi: As winter approaches, temperatures in several parts of the country have started plummeting, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
Delhi records chilly morning as minimum temperature drops at various places. Safdarjung reports 7.4°C, while Palam records 10.4°C on Sunday morning.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that minimum temperature is likely to drop to 6°C by December 10.
Delhi's average Air Quality Index (AQI) dropped down to the 'poor' category on Saturday. It was measured as 219 by the Central pollution Control Board at 8am.
Uttar Pradesh

J&K
Jammu and Kashmir records varied temperatures, with Gulmarg at -1.6°C, Pahalgam at -2°C, Srinagar at 2°C, Jammu at 13°C, Banihal at 1.4°C, Katra at 9°C, and Kupwara at 3.4°C. Cold wave grips Kashmir Valley as mercury dips to sub-zero temperatures.

Maharashtra
The minimum temperature has plummeted by a couple of degrees, bringing the winter chill over Nagpur and other districts of Vidarbha on Tuesday night. Nagpur recorded 16°C overnight, albeit one degree Celsius below normal. The IMD has forecast dry weather for the next five days, which is likely to reduce the temperature further.
The weatherman dismissed the possibility of an immediate cold wave but indicated the minimum temperature is likely to fluctuate between 16 to 20°C. According to the forecast, dry and robust winds are expected to prevail over Nagpur and the surrounding region.
Yavatmal registered the lowest temperature in the region at 15 degrees Celsius. The remaining districts recorded minimum temperatures between 15-17°C.
