Panaji: Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare and Rural Development, Shivraj Singh Chauhan emphasized the importance of natural farming and the development of agriculture, horticulture, and allied activities in Goa, reports Dynamite News correspondent:

Shivraj Singh Chauhan was virtually addressing Swayampurna Mitras, Sarpanches, Panchas, farmers, and SHGs across the state during the 'Swayampurna Goa' mission programme.

'Lakhpati Didis'
He said that Under the Swayampurna Goa mission, the Government of Goa is on the path to creating a record number of 'Lakhpati Didis' in the state.
Shivraj Singh acknowledged the Government of Goa's initiative to complement the Union Scheme of Interest Subvention on Agriculture Loans by extending the benefits under the State Government, effectively making farm loans interest-free in the state.
