New Delhi: There was a huge uproar in the JPC meeting held on Friday in the Parliament premises on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024. In view of the uproar, Marshals were called in to control the situation, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
10 MPs suspended
As a result, ten opposition MPs were suspended for a day.

Senior Parliamentarian Nishikant Dubey’s first statement on ruckus in JPC meeting on Waqf Board (Amendment) Bill: "Today's meeting, which was scheduled to discuss... was postponed by the Chairman based on the opposition's suggestion. However, in front of Mirwaiz, these people created a ruckus, misbehaved, and acted against Parliamentary democracy."
