Uttarakhand: Over 100 fell ill after eating adulterated buckwheat in Dehradun

Dehradun: Over 100 people felt ill and were hospitalised due to suspected food poisoning after consuming adulterated ‘kuttu’ (buckwheat) flour in Uttarakhand's Dehradun, officials said on Monday. 

Of these, 66 people were admitted to Coronation Hospital, 44 were admitted to Doon Medical College and Hospital, Dehradun, according to the police.

The health of some of these individuals started deteriorating on Sunday night, while others were brought to the hospital on Monday morning, the police said. 

The condition of all the patients is now stable, the police added.
