Uttar Pradesh: UPPSC announces new date for PCS exam

Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) on Friday announced the new date for the Provincial Civil Service (PCS) exam. 

The commission on Thursday announced that the PCS examination would be conducted in one day and in a single shift, but did not announce the date of the exam.

Now, the PCS examination will be conducted in a single shift on 22 December, according to a notification issued by the commission. 

Besides, the commission has also postponed the RO and ARO exams following the students' protest against its decision to conduct the exams over two days. However, the date of the exams has not been announced yet.

UPPSC aspirants, who were holding protest outisde the commission's office in Prayagraj, were demanding that UPPSC exams be held in a single shift. 
The protesting students on Thursday broke the barricades placed by the police outside the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) office in Prayagraj after which clash ensued between the students and the police.
