Two brothers were killed in an accident after the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a four-wheeler on the Lucknow-Varanasi highway in Uttar Pradesh's Sultanpur. Read further on Dynamite News:

Sultanpur: Two brothers were killed in an accident after the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a four-wheeler on the Lucknow-Varanasi highway in Uttar Pradesh's Sultanpur, police said on Thursday.

According to officials, one of them died on the spot, and the other succumbed to injuries while being taken to a hospital.

The victims identified as Sameer (38) and Amir (30), were going to Hasanpur to collect some important household items when the accident took place at Hasanpur Gumti area.

According to Bandhuakala police, they had reached Hasanpur Gumti when a speeding car coming from Lucknow hit their scooter. Following the accident, locals of the area rushed to the spot and informed the police.

One of the victims died on the spot, while the other one was taken to Government Medical College, from where he was referred to the Trauma Center in Lucknow.

"He died while being taken to the Trauma Centre," officials said.

Bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and the police have initiated a probe into the same.

According to eyewitnesses, the four-wheeler was being driven by a minor, and the vehicle belonged to a businessman.

Anirudh Kumar Singh, an official with Bandhuakala police said that they have not received any complaint and action will be taken on that basis.

The four-wheeler has been confiscated, and the police were further looking into the incident.
