Kushinagar: A 38-year-old woman Sangeeta and her five children died in a fire that broke out at their house in Urdaha village in Kushinagar, police said on Thursday.
The incident took place late Wednesday night.

Sangeeta and her five children got trapped inside the house when fire broke out while they were sleeping. After getting information about the incident, a fire brigade team reached the spot, doused the flames and pulled out the six family members who had already died, police said.
It is suspected that Sangita and her five children went to sleep without properly dousing the fire in the ‘chulha’ which might have caused the tragic incident, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

The deceased Sangita was 38 years old and her children were aged between 10 and one year including 10-year-old Ankit, 9-year-old Lakshmi, 3-year-old Rita, 2-year-old Geeta and one-year-old Babu were among those who died in the fire.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, the police spokesman said.
