Moradabad: Heavy rains have caused severe waterlogging across Moradabad city, leading to dangerous water levels and forcing evacuations in severely affected areas like Bholenath Colony.

Boats provided by the administration are the only means of rescue for the residents. The biggest dangers are the insects, snakes, and scorpions.

On Sunday morning, a resident of Bholenath Colony described how her family is unable to go out because of the flooding and is living in constant fear of insects.

"We are living here with the constant fear of water entering our house. There are insects everywhere inside. We can only go out with the help of the boat, and there have been no rescue operations yet," the resident said. (with Agency inputs)
