Duplicate electric items of Havells Company were being sold openly in Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh. Police has arrested two shopkeepers. Read full report on Dynamite News:

Maharajganj: The illegal sale of duplicate electric wires and stabilizers of a branded company Havells has come to light in Maharjganj.  The police registered an FIR and has arrested two shopkeepers for selling counterfeit items.  

According to Dynamite News correspondent, two shopkeepers in Ghughuli area were selling duplicate items with  fake hologram of Havells company. On the complaint by a company employee, Ghughuli police took action and arrested two shopkeepers and recovered duplicate wires and stabilizers.

In this regard, a complaint was lodged at Ghughuli police station by Ashish Yadav, an engineer of Havells India Limited Company. According to the FIR, he told the police that he along with his fellow field officers Anshuman Saha, Sameer Sahu and Nandlal had gone to the electric shops authorized by Havells Company to check fake wires and fake stabilizers.

When the company officials conducted a search in the shops of Abhilash Pandey and Mukesh Kumar, they found duplicate electric items with fake logos of Havells Company. After that, the police registered an FIR against both shopkeepers.

Accused Abhilash Pandey and Mukesh Kumar have been arrested.  

While talking to Dynamite News, Ghughuli Police Station Officer Neeraj Roy said that a copyright case has been registered against the accused shopkeepers and after issuing challan from the court, both of them have been sent to jail.
