Ambedkarnagar: A BSF jawan, deployed on election duty, died of a heart attack in Uttar Pradesh's Ambedkarnagar district, officials said on Friday.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, the unit of Border Security Force 50 Balrampur, which came on election duty for the Katehari by-election, has been staying at Ram Samujh Surasti PG College in Shahjahanpur for about 12 days.

The deceased has been identified as Bandaru Chandri Naidu, 31, son of Bandaru Demadu, a resident of District Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
He rushed to district hospital
On Thursday, his health started deteriorating following which, Assistant Commandant Sovandev Simlai and other soldiers immediately rushed him to the district hospital, where the doctor declared him dead.

Meanwhile, CMS of the district hospital, Dr. Omprakash said that the jawan died of a heart attack.
