UP: 5 injured due to electrocution while working on electricity polls in Mainpuri

While performing work on the poles, workers were seriously injured after coming into the contact of a live wire. The current passed through the pole unexpectedly when the electricity supply was allegedly resorted from the power station. Read further on Dynamite News:

Mainpuri: At least five workers of a private electricity company suffered injuries while working on electricity poles in Mainpuri's Shahzadepur village, officials said on Monday. 

According to Dynamite News correspondent,  two of the 5 people are in seriuos condition.

The incidnet occurred during electrical work in the village comes under the jusrisdiction of the Bhongaon police station.

11,000-volt high-tension line
 The injured were part of a team working on an 11,000-volt high-tension line. 

The injured have been identified as Indresh, Neeraj, Sunny and Priyanshu, with some of them suffering from severe burn injuries.

They were rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) where doctors referred them to the district hospital. 

The administration has informed the families of the injured.
