Uttar Pradesh: 3 minor girls killed, 2 injured in slum fire in Noida

Noida: Three minor girls died from severe burn injuries in a fire that broke out at a slum in Sector 8 of Noida early Wednesday morning, police said. Their father and mother also suffered burn injuries in the incident.

District Magistrate Manish Verma confirmed that the fire broke out between 3.00 and 4.00 am. "We were promptly informed, and both the police and fire brigade responded. The forensic team is at the site conducting an investigation," he said.
DM Verma said that five people, including the three girls, were inside a shanty when the fire started. The girls succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. (with Agency inputs)
