Murray, 31, started off his campaign with a convincing 6-7, 6-3, 7-5, 6-3 win over James Duckworth of Australia in a one-sided clash.
Despite the strong attack, Murray couldn't manage to continue his form and lost in the second round at the Arthur Ashe Stadium here.
