UPTET: Secretary, Examination Regulatory Authority arrested for paper leak

The Special Task Force(STF) of the Uttar Pradesh police probing the UP Teacher Eligibility Test(UP TET) question paper leak has arrested Secretary of Examination Regulatory Authority Sanjay Kumar Upadhyay on Wednesday.

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): The Special Task Force(STF) of the Uttar Pradesh police probing the UP Teacher Eligibility Test(UP TET) question paper leak has arrested Secretary of Examination Regulatory Authority Sanjay Kumar Upadhyay on Wednesday.

Upadhyay had been put under suspension on Tuesday in this regard.

ADG ,( Law and Order) Prashant Kumar here on Wednesday confirmed about the arrest of Mr Upadhyay.

Mr Kumar said that Mr Upadhyay was arrested after his interrogation by the STF.

"We will not spare anyone found involved in the question paper leak," he stressed.

On Tuesday, the STF had arrested the director of the RSM FINSERV Ltd, Rai Anoop Prasad, after interrogating him from Noida.

The firm situated at Mohan Cooperative area in Badarpur, New Delhi was entrusted with printing the question paper of UPTET by the Examination Regulatory Authority on October 26 last. STF registered a fresh case against Prasad and four others in Noida in connection with the paper leakage.

Altogether 38 people have been arrested so far in the case including several members of the solver gang.

On Tuesday, an official spokesman said, Upadhyay was found to be prima facie guilty of negligence leading to the leakage hence action was taken against him.(UNI)
