UP: Yogi government to clamp down on another gangster, assets of crores to be seized

Lucknow: Former MLA of Bhadohi and a gangster Vijay Mishra, who announced to contest the last UP Legislative Assembly elections from Agra jail, is now on the target of Enforcement Directorate (ED).
The ED has sought a report from Bhadohi, Prayagraj and some other district administrations regarding the illegal and immovable properties of Vijay Mishra. After verification his properties worth crores are likely to be confiscated.
After the police action on the benami property of Ajay Mishra and his close associates, the ED has initiated action to confiscate his illegal assets. Earlier,the police had taken action against 8 people, including Vijay Mishra, his son and nephew under the Gangster Act. Vijay Mishra is a four time MLA from Gyanpur assembly seat of Bhadohi district.

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the ED is gathering all information about the financial sources of this Bahubali leader, his family members and close associates. So far, the ED has identified vast illegal and disproportionate assets including many houses, plots and flats of Ajay Mishra worth of crores in various districts of the state.
A case has already been registered against Ajay Mishra for organized crime. The action under the Gangster Act has been initiated against him, his son Vishnu Mishra, nephew Block chief Manish Mishra, Girdhari Prasad Pathak, Vikas Mishra, Hanuman Sevak Pandey, Satish Mishra and Suresh Kesarwani. All of them have been booked under the inter-state gang (D-12) in Gopiganj Kotwali.
