UP: RSS' Lucknow and Unnao offices get bomb threats; suspect nabbed in Tamil Nadu

Lucknow: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) offices in Lucknow and Unnao received bomb threats on 5 June. 

The suspect Raj Mohammad has been arrested in Tamil Nadu (TN) by the Uttar Pradesh Police with coordination of TN Police, said Prachi Singh, ADCP, North Zone, Crime Branch, Lucknow. 

Raj Mohammad had threatened to blow up RSS offices at six locations, including two in Uttar Pradesh has been detained in Pudukudi, Tamil Nadu.

The threat was sent through a WhatsApp message. 

The threat messages were sent to Sangh member Neelkanth Tiwari in Hindi, English, and Kannada from an international number, says a report.

Police has registered a case "Investigation has been done and a police team has been constituted, soon the accused will be arrested,"said S Channappa, Deputy commissioner of police (DCP) North Lucknow Police.

"An FIR was registered at Madiyaon PS in connection with a bomb threat to the RSS office in Lucknow and Unnao. A WhatsApp message threatening that RSS offices will be blown up was sent at 8 pm yesterday. With Cyber Cell's help, the number that sent the message will be traced," Lucknow Police said.
