UP records 17,775 COVID-19 cases, 286 deaths
Uttar Pradesh recorded 17,775 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 286 more deaths from the virus in the past 24 hours, a health bulletin said on Thursday.
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh recorded 17,775 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 286 more deaths from the virus in the past 24 hours, a health bulletin said on Thursday.
The total active cases in the state have reached 2,04,658. As many as 19,425 people have recovered in the past day, taking the recovery rate to 86 per cent. The test positive rate is 27.8 per cent.

In the state capital Lucknow 35 people have died in the last 24 hours. There are now 16,117 active cases in Lucknow, whereas a total of 2,194 have died so far. As many as 856 new infected have been found in the capital.
In the last 24 hours, highest 1,070 new infected people have been found in Meerut and 15 people have died. In Kanpur, 288 new cases were found while 16 died. In Gautam Buddha Nagar, 747 cases were found and 11 died. In Jhansi, 354 new infections were reported and ten died.

In Moradabad, 504 new cases have been found, six have died. In Gorakhpur, 775 new infections have been detected and 772 in Varanasi. Nine died in Gorakhpur and six in Varanasi. 240 new infected have been found in Prayagraj, five people have died.
Eight new infected have been found in Mahoba but ten people have lost their lives. Similarly, 109 new cases have been found in Bahraich, while 12 people have died. Ten people have died in Ghazipur while 364 new infected cases have been found.(UNI)
