UP Rajya Sabha Elections: Nomination process begins for biennial election of 11 RS seats in UP

On the directions of Election Commission of India, the process of nomination for the biennial elections to the 11 Rajya Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh began today. Read more on Dynamite News:



Lucknow: The nomination process for the Rajya Sabha elections for 11 seats in Uttar Pradesh commenced from today. In all there are 57 seats across 15 states where the election will be held. 

Nomination papers will be filed by May 31 and scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on June 1. 

The last date for withdrawal of candidature is June 3.

The election will be held on June 10 followed by counting of votes after the polling process gets over. 

The states where these biennial elections for total 57 seats is be held are Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand and Haryana.
