Sonbhadra: One criminal was injured after encounter broke out between police and criminals in Uttar Pradesh's Sonbhadra on Tuesday.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, one criminal was shot at, while the other managed to escape.
Encounter near Baiju Baba Temple
The incident occurred near the Baiju Baba Temple in the Robertsganj area of Sonbhadra.

Police acts on tip-off
Acting on a tip-off, the police attempted to stop the criminals during a vehicle-checking drive. However, the crimanals turned their vehicle towards the Chahalwa forest. The police pursued them and stopped the vehicle in the forest, but the crimanls started firing at the police personnel while trying to flee.
Police retaliates
In retaliatory fire by the police, one criminal was injured, while the other escaped.
Additional Superintendent of Police
Additional Superintendent of Police Kalu Singh stated that both criminals were wanted in a case of truck driver robbery and had cases registered against them.

The injured criminals has been identified as Sujeet Yadav, while the absonding one has been identified as Vishal alisa Alagu Yadav. The injured person has been admitted to the hospital. The police recovered a pistol, one live cartridge, two emplty shells and the Scorpio Vehicle from the criminals' possession.
