A man was stabbed to death and his brother seriously injured allegedly by a youth in the Jhinjhana area in Uttar Pradesh.

Muzaffarnagar: A man was stabbed to death and his brother seriously injured allegedly by a youth in the Jhinjhana area here, police said on Wednesday.

The incident took place at Patnipratapur village Tuesday night, they said.

A youth, Mithun, entered the house of the brothers and attacked them with a knife, police said.

While Bharat, 35, died on the spot, his brother and village head Itwari Singh was seriously injured in the attack, they said.

Singh was rushed to a hospital in serious condition, police added.

A case has been registered and efforts are on to nab the accused, they said.

In another incident, a man, identified as Nawab Ali, 45, was allegedly beaten to death and his son seriously injured by a neighbour over some dispute at Pawti Kalan village in Shamli district Tuesday night, police said. (PTI)
