UP man sets himself, partner ablaze in Pratapgarh

Pratapgargh: A man allegedly tried to self immolate himself and his partner after her wedding was fixed with another man in Uttar Pradesh's Pratapgargh, police said on Thursday.

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the incident occurred in the Kohndour area. 

Woman dies
The woman succumbed to her burn injuries while the the 29-year-old man is in hospital.

The man, identified as Vikas Kumar Yadav, allegedly poured petrol on himself and the woman, who was identified as Neelu Yadav, 22. 

'Duo were in relationship'
According to the police, the duo were reportedly in a relationship but woman's family had fixed her wedding with another man. 

Man has not been to register his statement due to burn injuries.
