UP Govt accepts IAS Abhishek Singh's resignation paving his way to start political innings

Lucknow: The state government has accepted the resignation of UP cadre 2011 batch IAS officer Abhishek Singh after the Centre's nod.
Abhishek had submitted his resignation in October 2023 under the Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS). His resignation comes into effect from today Thursday.

After leaving the IAS job, speculations about Abhishek Singh going into politics are taking rounds. There is a strong buzz that he can start his political innings in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and may contest from Jaunpur, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
Abhishek Singh is a resident of Jaunpur. His father Kripashankar Singh was an IPS officer in Uttar Pradesh. These days, Abhishek has already started his activities in Jaunpur where he is going from place to place meeting people in the area.
