Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna on Thursday presented the state budget for the year 2025 -2026.

Talking to reporters at his residence before the budget, Khanna said, "An attempt has been made in the budget to meet the needs of every section of the society - poor, middle class, farmers, women, youth and common people. In the true sense, this is a public interest budget.'

The Finance Minister announced to allocate 11% budget for financial assistance to farmers, crop insurance, solar pump scheme, sugarcane price payment, etc.
13% budget has been allocated in the field of education, in which there is a plan to create ICT labs in schools, smart classes, digital libraries in polytechnics etc.
