UP: Five of family killed as speeding dumper hits car in Bahraich

Bahraich: Five member of a family were killed after a speeding dumper hit their car in Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich on Tuesday, officials said. 

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the mishap occurred on the Bahraich-Lucknow highway near Gupta Dhaba located in Karim Behad in Kaiserganj Kotwali area.

Besides, one woman sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to the community health center.
 
Abrar, a resident of Matera Chauraha in the Matera police station area, was traveling to Lucknow by car on Tuesday to get medicine for his father, Ghulam Hazrat. Accompanying him were his wife Rukaiya, mother Fatima, and one-month-old daughter Haniya. While they were on the Bahraich-Lucknow Highway, a speeding dumper coming from the Kaiserganj side crashed into their car near Gupta Dhaba in Karim Behd.

The Car Was Completely Mangled
The impact of the collision was so severe that the car was completely mangled. Ghulam Hazrat, Fatima, Abrar, Chand, and Haniya died on the spot. Rukaiya was seriously injured and has been hospitalized for treatment. The incident has left the family in deep shock and mourning.

Driver Fled the Spot
Inspector Harendra Kumar Mishra confirmed Dynamite News that the five people died in the accident. He added that the seriously injured woman has been admitted to the community health center. The dumper driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle.
