UP: Dalit man mercilessly beaten by goons, dies during treatment in Deoria

Deoria: A Dalit man, who was beaten mercilessly by a group of miscreants, died during treatment in Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria district. 

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the man was invited to a party in Karmajitpur village of Gauri Bazaar police station area on Monday night and then he was beaten up by goons at a distance of about two hundred meters from his house.

Police registers case
He died during the treatment. Police have registered a case of murder against five people on the complaint of the deceased youth's mother Shakuntala Devi.

Identity of the deceased
The deceased has been identified as Sintu, son of Girish Prasad, a resident of Karmajitpur.  The argument had broken out between the accused and the victim in which he was beaten very badly.

Initially, he was admitted to BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur for treatment. When his condition did not improve there, the family was taking him to SGPGI Lucknow on Wednesday night. He died on the way. The police have registered a murder case against five people and taken them into custody.

The police are trying to ascertain the cause of his murder.
