UP Bureaucracy: Bumper transfers of senior IPS officers; Gorakhpur ADG Akhil Kumar removed, new ADG in Meerut, new police commissioner in Kanpur

Lucknow: The UP government has shifted seven IPS officers in the state on the New Year's Day.

 IPS of 1994 batch Additional Director General of Police Akhil Kumar, who proved to be a huge failure in Gorakhpur, has been removed but due his 'contacts' has now become new Police Commissioner of Kanpur.

According to Dynamite News correspondent, 1993 batch IPS KS Pratap Kumar has been moved to Gorakhpur zone as the new Additional Director General of Police.

DK Thakur has been shifted as the new Additional Director General of Police to Meerut zone.
