UP: 6 Killed, 5 Injured In Road Accident In Prayagraj

Prayagraj: Four women and two children died in a horrific road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj on Thursday morning.
According to the police, the incident took place at around 7 am Thursday near Handia Toll Plaza on Varanasi Road in Prayagraj. A Tavera car went out of control and hit an electric pole.

Five people including 4 women and 2 children died in the accident, while 5 others were seriously injured. The police team of Handia police station reached the spot and after starting the relief and rescue operation, the injured were taken to the hospital.

All the people in the car were going from village Sarai Lal Shivgarh police station Soraon district Prayagraj to visit Vindhyachal. The deceased include Rekha, wife of Sanjay Agrahari aged 45 years, Ramesh aged 32 years, Krishna Devi wife of late Shyamlal age 70 years, Kavita wife of late Dinesh age 36 years and Kumari Ojas aged one year.
Chief Minister Yogi has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives in this road accident. Wishing peace to the departed soul, he expressed condolences to the bereaved families. (Agencies)
