Ukraine ready to accept ceasefire proposal with Russia: US

Washinton: The United States has decided to resume military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine after Kyiv agreed to an American proposal for a 30-day ceasefire with Russia.  

The US and Ukraine issued a joint statement after officials of the countries in Saudi Arabia, confirming that Kyiy agreed to caesefire proposal which can be extended further.

The positive response from Ukraine made US to lift a pause on military aid intelligence sharing with Kyiv. 

"Ceasefire just agreed to it a little while ago. Now, we have to go to Russia, and hopefully, President (Vladimir) Putin will also agree to the proposal," US President Donald Trump told reporters in Washington.

Trump also said he is open to inviting Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky back to the White House, following their  less than a fortnight ago - that sparked international concern over the US-Ukraine relationship.
