An election vigilance team arrested two men and recovered approximately Rs 2 crore cash from a Mercedes car near a check-post in Amalner village of Beed district.
Beed: An election vigilance team on Tuesday arrested two men and recovered approximately Rs 2 crore cash from a Mercedes car near a check-post in Amalner village of Beed district.
The arrests were made after the team deployed to keep a check on compliance of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) stopped the suspicious vehicle and made the recovery.

"The money is handed over to the Income Tax department and the case is being investigated," said Namrata Chate, SDM, Beed.
