Istanbul: Turkish police has arrested five Daesh suspects in a counter-terrorism operation in Istanbul.

 

The suspects were held during raids in the four districts -- Silivri, Bagcilar, Maltepe and Gungoren on Friday.

Citing sources, the Anadolu news agency reported that twelve foreign nationals who were suspected to be attempting to travel to conflict zones were also captured during the raid.

The police also seized a large body of digital data and documents during the raids. (ANI)
