Ambedkar Nagar: The battle lines have been drawn in Ambedkar Nagar's Katehari, with all three major parties, the BJP, Samajwadi Party (SP), and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), choosing Dalit candidates from this high-profe seat. 

This has made the fight triangualr on this seat. In our special program "Mahul Tight Hai," we reached out to the people of Katehari to gauge their mood ahead of November 20 by-Polls. Voters freely expressed their opinions. See the video. 

BJP has not won this seat since '91

Since 1991, the BJP has not been able to win the this seat. To break the jinx, the party has fielded Dharmraj Nishad, a former BSP leader. Meanwhile, the SP has chosen Shobhawati Verma while the BSP has fielded Amit Verma.

Talking to Dynamite News, a voter said: "People are disillusioned with those who made tall promises of development, but done nothing." 

By-polls to be held on November 20

The by-polls to the nine assembly seats, including Katehari, will be held on November 20 while the outcome of the polls will be announced on November 23.
