New Delhi: India pacer Jasprit Bumrah on Wednesday reclaimed his position as the world's No. 1 ranked bowler in Test cricket, following India's impressive performance against Bangladesh in their recently-concluded home Test series.
The speedster replaced his teammate spinner Ravichandran Ashwin to claim the premier position for the second time following his six scalps in Kanpur Test against Bangladesh.
In February this year, right-arm bowler became the first Indian pacer to clinch the top spot in the longer format of the game.
Australia's Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins are at number two and three respectively.

All-rounder Ashwin took five wickets in the second match and is only one point short of Bumrah's rating points (870).
Jaiswal moves to third position
Meanwhile, India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal jumped to third position from fifth in the updated Test batter rankings. England's Joe Root remained No.1 Test batter with 899 rating points. New Zealand batter Kane Williamson is at number two.

Kohli re-enters the top 10 rankings
India's prolific batter Virat Kohli returned to the top 10, claiming the number six position, after previously ranking 12th before the Kanpur Test.
Wicket-keeper and batter Rishabh Pant (9th ranking) is another Indian batter in the top 10.
