Tamil Nadu moves Supreme Court against Guv Ravi's refusal to appoint K Ponmudi as Minister

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear petition of Tamil Nadu government against the refusal of Governor RN Ravi to reinduct DMK leader and former Higher Education Minister into the state cabinet.
The Governor has refused to reinduct K Ponmudy into the Cabinet saying it would be against constitutional morality to do so.

A bench comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra took note of the submissions of senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi, appearing for the state government, who said there was some urgency in the matter, which should be listed for hearing.
