Swati Maliwal undergoes medical check-up, has internal injuries on face

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, who was allegedly assaulted by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's aide, suffered internal injuries in her face, as per a medico-legal case report.

Maliwal underwent a medical check-up at AIIMS, Delhi, on Friday that lasted for over three hours.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has intensified its search for Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar a day after an FIR was registered in connection with the case. 

The FIR was registered after Maliwal's statement was recorded by a Delhi Police team at her residence.

In her complaint, the former Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief alleged that Bibhav Kumar slapped, kicked, beat her with a stick, and punched her in the stomach.
