Mumbai: Recently, a fake news spread that Suryakumar Yadav, the star batsman of Team India and Mumbai Indians, would leave Mumbai in domestic cricket and play for another team. Fans were shocked because another young player, Yashasvi Jaiswal, had already decided to leave Mumbai and play for Goa next season.
Suryakumar Yadav got angry at this fake news. He posted on social media (X) saying, "Is this a scriptwriter or a journalist? If I want to laugh, I’ll stop watching comedy movies and start reading these articles. Total nonsense!" He made it clear that he is not leaving Mumbai and will continue playing for his home team.

In IPL 2025, Surya is playing well for Mumbai Indians. After losing the first two matches, Mumbai won their third match against Kolkata Knight Riders. Surya scored a quick 27 runs in just 9 balls! So far, he has scored 29, 48, and 27 in three matches. Mumbai’s next match is on 4th April against Lucknow Super Giants.
