Surat: Efforts to extinguish a fire that swept through a textile store in Surat's Shiv Shakti Market continues on Thursday Morning.
The blaze, which started on Tuesday, has prompted authorities to respond swiftly as they work to bring the situation under control.

A fire erupted again at Shiv Shakti Textile market on Ring Road in Surat on Wednesday.

The second fire engulfed textile trading shops from the lower basement to the fifth floor.
The police said that the area had been cordoned off while teams were engaged in controlling the blaze.
Authorities have evacuated the entire area. Police personnel have also been deployed in large number to ensure the safety of other shops.

Over 100 shops were gutted in the fire.
Fortunately, no loss of lives reported, a fire department official said.
