SC halts Trail court action till Mosque committee approaches High Court

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday asked the Trial court not to proceed with the survey of the Shahi Idgah Masjid in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal till the committee of the Mosque approached the Allahabad High Court to challenge the trial court's order.

Court urges peace and harmony 
The Apex Court also urged maintaining the peace and harmony in the area where the violence was erupted following the court-mandated survey of the Mosque in which five people were killed.

The court also noted that the Trial court next hearing scheduled for January 8 would not proceed until Allahabad High Court  reviewed the case.

The Apex Court paused the Trail court action after the Mosque Committee filed a plea challenging the order passed by the trial court ordering the survey of the Mosque. (With Agency Inputs)
