Supreme Court allows to relax GRAP-IV restrictions

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday allowed the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) to relax the GRAP-IV restrictions following the improvement in Delhi's air quality.

Currently, the GRAP (Graded Response Action Plan) measures are in place in Delhi to tackle air pollution challenge.

The Apex Court was hearing a matter over measures to curb air pollution in Delhi-NCR areas.

Air Quality Index

The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi was in 'moderate' category after facing 'very poor' to 'severe' air quality for the past month.

The Court also advised the CAQM to consider adding certain measures under GRAP-Stage III. (With Agency Inputs)
