New Delhi: Have you ever wondered how astronauts wash their hair in space. In a video of the International Space Station released by NASA, a female astronaut has been shown washing her hair.

Hair Washing Process Video

The female passenger seen in the video told that lukewarm water, no rinse shampoo, towel and comb are needed to wash hair. The woman applies water to the hair with the help of a pouch, then no rinse shampoo is applied to the roots of the hair and then spread in the hair with the hand, then the shampoo is removed from the water and the hair is wiped with a towel and then combed.

The woman told that the water that evaporates after the hair dries is absorbed by the spacecraft and turns it into drinking water. Indian-origin Sunita Williams also uses this process to wash her hair.

Washing hair without gravity seems to be a very difficult task, but the astronaut has shown it very easily in the video.
